Simru Hazal Civan (İstanbul, 1990) fotoğraf, metin, video ve kitap gibi araçlar kullanarak hikaye anlatıcılığının farklı yollarını arayan multidisipliner bir sanatçı. Üniversitede Eczacılık okuduktan sonra İstanbul'da Belgesel Fotoğraf Akademisi'ne katıldı. Çalışmalarında araçların fizikselliği ve limitlerine odaklanarak gerçek ile hayalin arasındaki ilişkiyi sorguluyor.

Simru Hazal Civan (Istanbul, 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist who explores different ways of telling stories with photography, text, video and book. After graduating from university with a degree in Pharmacy she attend Documentary Photography Academy in Istanbul. In her practice she focuses primarily on physicality and limitations of the medium; investigating relationship between imagined and the real.
